Orwell

I agree with the way that Orwell explains that our language has declined. I this that it is due to technology and how people are becoming so lazy on how they write that it effects how they talk. People sometimes do make themselves look smarter than they actually are. They do that by trying to use the "five dollar" words, the wrong verbs, and the mixed up metaphors. Yet in the end they only look dumber than before. People do not pay enough attention on how to use the English language correctly. Everyone messes up though. My friend once got mad at someone for using the a word incorrectly. Most people do not care they just talk and whatever comes out comes out. they don't take the time to think and make sure that what they are saying is correct. So to quote Orwell the English language, "becomes ugly and inaccurate because our thoughts are foolish."
