No Facebook, No Problem(?)

Recently, i was given the extreme challenge by Prof. Kelly to go 24 hours without logging on to Facebook or using any other forms of communication (i.e cellphone, email, twitter, etc.) At first I thought it wouldn't be that bad; the wireless back home was not at all reliable, nor was the server in high school, and I am used to being in a situation where I have absolutely no internet access (the Maine backwoods, for example.) I should be able to handle 24 hours of no mass communicating via social networking, right? Wrong. I was surprised at how tempted I was to log on and check up on whats new among my friends and family. I had become so used to it being a part of my daily routine, that it almost felt like depriving my body of a harsh drug that it became dependent on. But, by some miracle, I was able to restrain myself for the 24 long hours. Since then, I have been checking my Facebook about every 5 minutes, almost like I was making up for lost time. It is same to say that I am addicted to Facebook.
