Language's Re-evolution

Politically correct language has lost its place, today the mess we know as the English language is a clusterf#%k. It is a self created issue, tools like spell check has allowed everyone to click and forget. It has become a case of if it looks good use it. But thanks to Orwell, we have rules to prevent our common mistakes.

1) --Never use a metaphor, simile or other figure of speech which you are used to seeing in print.

2) --Never use a long word where a short one will do.

3) --If it is possible to cut a word out, always cut it out.

4) --Never use the passive where you can use the active.

5) --Never use a foreign phrase, a scientific word or a jargon word if you can think of an everyday English equivalent.

6) --Break any of these rules sooner than say anything outright barbarous.

But, who is going to bother to use these rules to better themselves? When we write for an audience, we use what sounds good. The future is fast paced; we’re using words like lol and omg. This isn’t Shakespeare time, light from which yonder window breaks, that language has dead. Now the English language has gone through a re-evolution, language has started to resemble Orwell’s 1984 written language. It’s not about proper language anymore; it’s about abbreviation and lingo.

Language is regressing and we are the reason.
