Prior to reading this article, I had almost no knowledge of the OWS movement at all. I still do not have that knowledge, but now I know why. I had avoided most of the news surrounding it, mostly by accident. I had heard of the attacks by the police, but I never knew what exactly the protesters were trying to do. After reading the article I realized, that these protesters don't really know either. The reason I never knew the exact point of the protests is that there isn't just one. The protestors were there because they simply wanted change, and this article really argues for there point in this whole thing. Taibbi analyzes the whole situation very well in this article, even though he is not necessarily a part of the movement, any one who is would look at this article and say that he really gets it.
I had the liberty of walking the the occupy Boston camp in early October, and it was a very good experience. I would definately say that the motto Taibbi gives the protestors (FUCK THIS SHIT!) described the under-lying feeling of the whole setting.
