Occupying With No Purpose

Before reading this article I forgot about the movement of Occupy Wall Street.  I am confused about how the author goes about writing this article.  At first he does not agree with the movement but then his opinion changed to being in favor with the movement.  Everyone always says they want change, but change in what?  When hundreds and hundreds of people go around screaming: Fuck This! that is great and everything but that is not going to gain any ground for change.  I do agree with how the upper class is in control of this nation and that needs to be addressed so all citizens can have an equal opportunity at success.  The movement seems silly to me because so many people want different things making it even harder to find a set purpose.  I liked when the author brought up the Civil Rights Movement.  That movement was successful because it had one set purpose: integration between whites and blacks and equal opportunity for all.  The part in the article that i have and issue with is when the author brings up his points about the police force.  Some cops are corrupt and their actions are despicable but a majority of the force out there is just patrolling doing what they are instructed to do.  If they didn't listen to their orders to keep everyone under control then they would lose their job and suffer the consequences.  I do believe that the current system is corrupt.  I just hope the people in these movements come together and find a set purpose to start making strides in making this nation a fairer place to live.
