Before I read this article, I had only heard of Occupy Wall Street. I honestly had no idea what it was and really had no interest to learn about it either. To me, it sounded boring and like a bunch of politics that I needed no part of. I still dont know alot about it but i got the general idea. After reading, i learned that Taibbi is 100% right. I learned that OWS is something I need to be aware of and have more concern for since I am only a few years away from being an adult in the “real world and it’s going to have an effect on me as the future generation. For example by the time I get of age for social security, there might not be any left. Is this fair to the hard working class that the wall street workers are getting all of the money? Taibbi has many good arguments that I think OWS needs to take care of. I liked how he made the comment that the police are more concerned with taking care of the protesters than those on Wall Street who are taking/stealing all the money. After reading this and learning about all the different problems, I am also afraid of going out on my own and having to deal with all the money issues and the fear of finding a successful job. I’m going to be coming straight out of college with more than enough debt that I can handle and how am I supposed to be able to pay it on top of all of the other bills I’m going to have on a starting salary. I agree, It’s time for a change in the way our government works or else its going to be even harder trying to make a living in the future years.
