twilight essay

let me start this off by saying that I have read twilight. I didn't enjoy it. the plot was bad, the writing was worse. as much as i tried to look for a silver lining to justify how this book was compared to harry potter i just couldn't find one. the essay about twilight rings true with many of the thought that i had while reading the book. the entire time you have this shell of a main character whose only emotion is loving Edward. then you have Edward the the "perfect" man who is good at everything. both main character are so underdeveloped that it is painful to watch them imagine them interacting. the only real plot in the book was Bella wanting to have sex with Edward and Edward saying no, because he might kill her during sex. other then that the plot is an old cliché of poor girl and rich man fall in love, with the only change in the plot being that the rich man also wants to suck out her blood. somehow though with how bad this book was it has gained an atrocious amount of loyal readers who will wait out side of book stores to read the sequels. i haven't even mentioned the part of this book that bugs me to no end, in this book the author made vampires sparkle. yeah that right, the once completely bad ass, lords of the night, cold blooded killers who lived in coffins now sparkle in the sunlight. thank you for forever ruining vampires for my generation.
